We finally had our day in court. Things went really smooth (considering) and we have our court decree (that is fancy for “You may adopt this child” approval from the court). We are now officially in the “10 day waiting period. We will be able to officially claim February 14th as Jonas’s “Gotcha Day”. How cool is that! After this date, and as soon as we have our paperwork done, we will leave for Kiev!

This is really eerie how closely our adoptions have followed each other. Our gotcha day will be Feb 14 as well. Glad to hear things are going well! We prayed for you!
Wow! We are excited for you! (and maybe a little jealous!) It has been fun to follow your journey while we are on our own journey. It is amazing how each adoption can have MANY similarites yet be so different! Praise God on your progress! Jen

So excited that you "passed court" and you are approved to be Jonas's mommy and daddy and bring him home to his forever family. Love that Feb 14th is your official "He's OURs" day! I just read a devotion about Jesus being God's Valentine to us - an invitation that says, "Be Mine!" You guys are living out that beautiful truth for one amazing little boy. Can't wait for you to come home.
