Another day…

Posted by Jason & Sharon Epperly

We spent quite a bit of time with Jonas today. We showed him pictures of the his new home, sisters, and grand parents. He is getting better at saying his sisters names. Here are some pictures from today:

All of our paperwork is on the way to the capital (Kiev), and our court date is scheduled for Feb 3rd. Please pray for safe travel for Vanya, as he goes to Kiev to get our paperwork through the SDA. Also pray that our paperwork will be ready to be picked up on Monday (in order to be ready for court on Tuesday).

Thanks for all the comments the last few days. They are something we look forward to reading and are very encouraging.

We really love and miss our family and friends!

I wonder what's going through Jonas' mind as he's looking at pictures of his sisters. I'm glad that he's warming up to you more and more and I pray this next phase of the adoption will be quick. We miss y'all around here and hope you get to come home ASAP. Sharon, have you had time to work on your assignment from me? Let me know. I haven't forgotten.

Hey you guys!!!
Okay, you are making me a blogger and I am really trying to go against the flow. Ha, ha, ha!!! Just kidding. I just want to tell you that I am continuing to pray for God to open all the doors for this to continue on. Wow, look at what He has already done. Isn't it amazing? :)
I am trying to plan a bowling night for our HG but I am going to wait until you bring that little guy home so we can all go together. Start teaching him how to get a strike. :)
I love you guys and will continue to pray for all the specifics.

Hey! I'm crying as I read this blog... I know,I know. Huge surprise! Who would have ever thought! I'm just so excited for you guys, and for me too! I get a new little one to play with!
I taught Snack Pack on Sunday and Morgan was my assistant. She is seriously awesome at it. I don't know what I would have done without her (especially because it was my first time in Cafe Next!). Just wanted to fill you in! Love to you both!

These pictures are amazing! He looks so engaged and seems to really be loving your photo album. What a gift to be here and yet feel totally a part of your process. Thank you for doing this....I am a little choked up seeing your smiling faces and knowing what an incredible Daddy and Mommy Jonas is getting. I squeeze Andrew and imagine you squeezing Jonas. I am touched beyond words! I love you guys and tell Jonas that "Aunt Angie" is saving some hugs for him.

You know what I just realized from looking at the pictures of you both with Jonas? Falling in love with your child, discovering new things with them, being amazed by them... it looks just the same no matter if it's the miracle of birth or the miracle of adoption!

We love you guys, are excited & overwhelmed with all God is doing in your family.

*sidenote: we're keeping Kleenex in business as we follow your hearts' journey.

Hi Guys!
Just wanted you to know that Reid was looking at the pictures of Jonas with me and said, "my friend." How cool is that? Sending out a big WOOHOO for that Feb. 3 court date!! Wait 10 days and get cracking on you exit strategy so you can get back home. I'm praying for you to be back by the 1 month mark. Hey, just thought of something... wait 10 days and WOW, that's a pretty awesome Valentine's present... a new family for Jonas! At what point is he placed in your custody, after the waiting period?
Continue to enjoy your time together with him... You are already making such a difference in his little life and rest assured, he will be saying Morgan, Maddy & Emma in no time - with a slight Russian accent, of course. :0)
Love you both!
Hugs,
Mandy & Reid
Hey - by the way... post some measurements when you get a chance so I can box up these close and have them waiting for you when you get home!
